Porsche 944 WAGON?
#1

Hey, have you guys ever seen this specimen:

It failed to sell on ebay (URL) for $15,150.00 because the reserve wasn't met. Here's the ebay description:

PORSCHE DP CARGO

This car is never seen in the USA. Only seven build, 5 left untill now. The car is in an absolute perfect show-room condition, only 25.000 km from new, has always been in the hands of collectors. Must be great value in the USA.

You'll never have a second chance to buy a Porsche like this.

The engine is a 2.0 litre Turbo, 177 HP (DIN), 5 speed manual gearbox. Year 1981.

Is this legit? Anybody know the history of this vehicle?

wow, that's actually a pretty hot car Porsche should tweak it a bit and put it onto production in the hot hatch market. . .

For being a 924 Cargo, the front bumper sure resembles the 951 way back in 1981.

That is a pretty good-looking sport wagon. It states that the chassis is stiffer after the conversion. I guess this goes in the same category as the 968 with the snowplow, the amphibious 968 and the 928 truck.

c'mon, I think it's a LOT sexier than a golf. Porsche just has to freshen up the look a wee bit and bam, the next market leader in the hatchback market!

I'd buy one. . . uh well if I was going to buy another one. . .
