My friend who is Catholic ( yes, contrary to popular belief I do have one or two religious friends..ok, it's more of a tolerance kind of friendship ) and who is originally from South America , texted me yesterday and wrote :



Exciting news, the new pope is from Argentina !

I replied : They elected Messi ??!!

The response : No, he can't be pope, he is God .

While I certainly agree that Clapton is a guitar legend (and one of my favorites), I doubt the majority of argentines would put him in the same league as Messi or Maradona.



Between Messi and Maradona, I'm not sure who they hold in higher regard. But if you google Hand of God, only one of them will show up in the results.
