Interested in what others feel was a " what were they thinking ?! " moment when designing the lines of those super cars...

while it kills me to list a ferrari, the testarossa and the 2 tone 512 are on my list of ugly



not happy about the carrera gt or just about anything coming out today. i think they have all gone to "art deco" in an attempt to make a styling statement, and forgotten what draws us to the cars to begin with, which is that they look like they are going 200mph while sitting there standing still. they immediately sent your brain into a rush of adrenaline just imagining something so unattainable. with the average hyundai now having nearly 400hp and going 160 (remember that the countach, arguably thought of as the ultimate supercar, only listed 375hp), the bar is set pretty high.

That Ferrari looks like a big version of the M Coupe. I can't say it's anywhere near as ugly as that other thing though.

Flash I kinda like the looks of the old Z3 M Coupe - I just don't fit in 'em. The Ferrari FF I posted above is definitely in 'WTF are they thinking?' territory, but I'll have to agree that little Weber thing is more atrocious. Looks like it got left outside on a real hot day and melted a bit.

I think the Lamborghini Countach looks like an insect, and the build quality was horrible. Just an ugly car all around....Miami vice style, partly ghetto. New Lambos are artwork......thanks to Audi ownership, and not Chrysler



The Vector was another horrible looking wedge of that era.



Newer super cars that are fugly are all Lotus and the Ford GT, and all Vipers. I think they are cheesy. They need a hairy chest and gold chains on the grill.

Yeah, the Vector was pretty bad. But I actually like a few of the cars listed here - to me, the Ferrari FF looks a little odd (Flash's description is spot on), but I wouldn't call it ugly. I also like the Lotus Exige, but maybe because I think it's such a cool car that I excuse some of its styling miscues. I don't like much of anything about the Fisker Karma, but I think it's actually pretty attractive. And the Ford GT?



I just googled the Gumpert (never heard of it). I don't know - to me, it's another faux fighter jet cookie-cutter super car wannabe, but I've seen uglier. The name is worse than the car.



I still think it's between the Weber (what the heck is that thing?) and the Consulier.

I'm with you on the Ford GT. This stuff is so subjective. I saw a thread recently on peoples' opinions of the worst bands ever, and there were quite a few on the lists that I actually like. Someone even listed the Beatles! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
