pics not displaying correctly...
#1

This is just a note to the folks that run this board - I know why some folks when they click on pics just get code displayed instead of the picture.

Your web server does not have it's "mime types" configured correctly. What's happening is your web server doesn't know that a .jpg is a picture. I checked and it thinks everything is a normal .html file. That's why it's sending the code across.

The reason why IE works, is because it's not so 'picky'. It ignores what the web server says and 'sees' the .jpg code. So it displays it as a picture.

If you need help dealing with your isp on this, let me know. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I use the latest Firefox and the pics don't load correctly anymore..[?] Perhaps the code has been changed[?].

I run a Linux box at home so I don't use IE...

Same problem - IE works, but Firefox doesn't. This suggests it's not the ISP at the source of the problem, but the browser. Is there a fix? As S Cal said, Firefox used to work until it "upgraded".

This is the wrong topic "parent' for this issue (I did it too), it's being addressed at http://www.968forums.com/index.php?showtopic=2484

Eric says there's a fix to the forum s/w that needs to be applied. It's apparently not a problem on our (client) systems.
