#1

Hey fellow 968'ers. My buddy called and said his friend just took delivery of his

new Viper Green GT3 RS !!!! I had to get in the '68 and drive down to see it.

It makes one speachless.

Enjoy the pics.

Okay, which kidney do you want; right or left?

Oof! Drive it like you stole it! (Which would be necessary, in my case!)

Do you know what his intentions are with this car? DE, racing, street, or collecting?

What's with the blacklip across the hood, is that for aerodynamics?

Beautiful machine!

The wife, kids, and I went to visit parents yesterday afternoon- while travelling on the highway, was passed by a brand new orange GT3-RS. I nearly drove off the road into the trees 'cause I couldn't take my eyes off it... What an amazingly stunning vehicle!

I long for many cars (993RS, '70 Boss429, 360CS for example), but that GT3-RS just took spot #1! That thing looks drop dead gorgeous in all directions, esp. from behind! What an @ss!

Was it this one perhaps? The proud owner got this past weekend and was tooling around with it this weekend in Southern NJ.

funny - i just can't stand it - it is the complete antithesis of where i would go with the car

reminds me an awful lot of some of the cars that used to hang out at hammer's studio though

that's ok - nobody is forcing me to run out and buy one

probably fast as stink though

I'm with you on this one, Flash. Whatever adjectives might be used (and there are many positive ones), I would not use "beautiful". When I lived in Florida a number of years ago, there was a yellow turbo whale-tail with the license "KILLER B". It was, IMHO, also lots of things - striking, stunning, eye-catching, wickedly fast - but not beautiful.

lol - i always wanted to do one of the mgbs in yellow with black trim and use that plate - just didn't think i could get myself to drive it though - that combination was ok on one of the race cars, but it had sponsor stickers all over it to help hide it

no worries - that's why they make 31 flavors, right?

*drool*

there was a viper green GT3RS reviewed by Evo magazine a few issues back. They mentioned that around the Nurburgring, 13 miles or whatever, the difference between GT3 and GT3RS is. . .

7 seconds.

I'd much prefer to have the stock GT3 with the luxury aspect also. I suppose though that the appeal is for track-oriented cars. . . rollcage and fire extinguisher, or whatever. . .

I'm really interested to see though how the 997 based GT3s will be on the pro race series.

Can you imagine how many curious kids would mess with that surfboard on the back when you left the car unattended?

Vaino- that sure looks like the one I saw, but then there really isn't much difference between any given 997 GT3-RS except exterior color from what I am to understand. When we first saw the car, we were going through New Hope to Lambertville and he was going the opposite way. About 15 - 20 minutes later, while we were just about on 295 from 95, he passed us! Same guy/gal combo in the car.
