Patriots vs. Giants
#21

Rooting for the Giants, but suspect the arrogant Pats win.

I think football has become too protected and full of overpaid players who aren't willing to make a tackle or take a hit for fear of being hurt. However, there was a time when players would sacrifice their bodies to make a play....those guys deserve to be compared to rugby players.

Would you think that baseball players with guaranteed contracts are more likely to push the envelope?

@Rap....I think anytime salaries get as high as they do now, the players have less incentive to perform and take personal risk for a play.

Agreed. Although I think football players may have a different mindset!

I don't know if the commercials shown here in Canada are the same ones shown in the US, but the FIAT commercial was good...

Commercials have been pretty lame so far, compared to years past.

The Fiat 500 "spokesmodel" is what those who said " ..and God created woman .." must have had in mind.

( though I must admit there is some bias on my part - she is Romanian born, lives in Milan now doing modeling work, ergo her bilingual skills .. Hmm, I lived in Romania for quite a while but don't remember many of her kind running around there :-) )

I thought the Fiat commercial was great and I also liked the Audi commercial as well. And, who doesn't like polar bears?

Not that crazy about her ( Lima ) , could be her vampire teeth or not sure what ...but I recognize I'm in the minority on that..

Re the cars commercials, any opinions on the new NSX ? Looks decent enough to me, but to what demographic are they marketing this , spending $ 3.5 mil for a 30 seconds ad ? If that's a targeted competitor to the Audi R8 I,m guessing the price will be in the $ 120 K+ level so they'll need to sell quite a few of them before they recover the ad cost.. Not that many are going to line up to trade in their Chevy pickups for one of those...

I've never been crazy about her either. At least now she's getting old enough to be attractive as a woman and I don't have to feel like an old letch for thinking so.

She's almost 30 years old, so I don't feel the least bit pervy...about her age

Huh? I haven't been following the rumors on the new NSX, but, as Maxwell Smart's nemeses used to say, "I find that very hard to believe..." I thought it was supposed to be a competitor for the R8 and such, not the new Toyobaru, but as I said, I haven't really been following it. Where did you hear $20-30K? I find it hard to imagine that Seinfeld and Leno would be duking it out over a $30K car.

I just typed in " 2013 Acura NSX price " in search, and the first couple of sites that came up featuring this car had the msrp b/w $ 28k to $32k . I was sure they must have skipped a 1 in front of that, or a 0 at the end of it, but both had it in the same range, so something must be amiss, that I am overlooking..

And I just pulled up this other one : http://carissued.com/acura/2013-acura-ns...views.html which indicates $ 32k - to $ 37k.. price keeps going up site by site Still, if that's really the case, I'd run over bith Seinfeld and Leno ( in my 968 ) to get ahead of eiter one buying this car before me at that price... but again, something just does not seem right.. too good to be true.
