Well done to you and your crew. Love seeing another 968 story from you, always 10/10ths!
968's are such deceptively fast little cars!

Practice Highlights video is published..... Hope you enjoy the slow, first timer Daytona laps.... Among a few other problems, we also had some injector problems that hurt power considerably.....

Cool video, thanks for sharing.
Which hoosier do you run (slick, r6, a6?), and do you mind sharing what pressures you aim for? I use the Yokohama AO50 and find it awesome (semi slick). Medium compound all around.

Thanks guys.
Lim: The rear diffuser works fantastickly. And then, the "exhaust blown diffuser" setup we did in the middle of the season also made a great difference in slow to medium turns.
MC: I run R6 Hoosiers. Square setup 285/18 all around. Normally shoot for 38-40 hot pressures depending on track surfaces and type. I dont change alignment on-track so some times play with the front presssures to aid in offsetting how off I may be on camber at times. At US tracks such as Pocono and Daytona when running high speed steeply banked courses, camber gets backed out big time and pressures drop on tires a bit. I actually have been considering going to slicks this year to campaign in one particular class, but between the cost per tire and cycles they last, I have been trigger-shy on the decision.... I have heard good things about the Yokos, and obviously the Michelins.....

Thanks for the feedback re tires.
FYI, I think the caution re slicks is warranted. I ran them recently at a practice day on my GT2. Admittedly it's got a lot of grunt (modified) but I found they are so much more sensitive to pressure and camber it's incredible. I destroyed a brand new set in just a few sessions in one day. They are so sensitive, and expensive if you get it off a little pressure or camber wise.
Semi slicks are just so much tougher and more resilient it's amazing.

I'll have to look more into the "semi slick" type... I did not know there was kind of an in-between....

Oh, down under the tyres you run are called semi slick. eg: Yoko AO50, Hoosier R6, A6, Hankook Ventus TD etc are all 'semi'slicks'.
All are that one step below a full slick, and a lot more durable and affordable, though slower.

Not the best video ever and you'll probably only manage to get through the first 15 seconds before getting dizzy and shutting the video off, but this is the only video we were able to salvage out of the Championship Sprint Race at Daytona
(...the Sony camera did not survive the drenching either....)
http://youtu.be/BzKkqLTSudw
We took the green flag and started lapping 10-15 secods a lap faster than my next competitor in Class
(rain.... the great equalizer!). Once we had a confortable gap, the boyz on the radio started to sloooowly ease me into taking the pace down a bit without loosing too much of my rythm and concentration (and force a mistake). You'll notice I settled down on the 2nd half of the race being extra easy on the corner entries and exits. I think this was the first race ever (since I have had a crew member on the radio), that I did not say a single word.... Also kudos to the crew and Jonathan Vasquez for feeding me the right amount of info at the right times throughout the race.....
