Yes, lots of decent write ups here about the gears and the refurbishing of the light tubes. I've done a few cars and PorscheDude is right about an afternoon's worth of time. The only problem may be spending all the time to take everything out and finding out the your odometer gear is not broken...if that's the case, then you're looking at sending it in for repair. Evidently, there are some parts of the circuitry that get finicky and the problem is actually electrical as opposed to mechanical. I ended up sending mine to North Hollywood Speedometer and it's been perfect ever since. They requested the entire cluster and even fixed the erratic temp guage while they had it.

I hope I'm wrong too...the gear is simple to do once you get to it...like lots of other things on our cars.
