Two weeks ago I picked up my first Porsche. After looking around and seeing lots of Boxters and 911's, I wanted something different. Fell in love with the 968 model and the low production numbers. Looked at several online sites and finally bought a black on black coupe up in Portland, OR. With 151,00 miles on it, some maintenence was in order prior to the long drive back to Scottsdale, AZ. Items replaced included the camshaft chain and tensioner pads, timing and balance shaft belts, all the rollers and the water pump. Had a nice drive down the coast on Highway 1. Night driving throught the redwood forrest of California with headlamps on high beam was phenominal. It's now safely back in Scottsdale at its new home. Cruise control, dim dash lights and the radio all repaired. Runs, rides and handles like a dream. That's saying alot for a 20 year old car.
