New Power

New Power Products Coming Soon

RS Barn will release new Racing Chips in addition to Standard Stage 1 and Stage 2 Chips.

Each will offer increased performance over street chips but aren't recommended without careful consideration of Octane and Emissions

RS Barn will produce new Racing Exhaust Systems not intended for street use but complient with noise regulations at most tracks.

Substantial HP and TQ gains over Street have been obtained...

I see that I posted in the wrong area, I'll leave the BIG HP thread for your incredible monster motor that will dazzle and amaze any unfortunate victims get behind it on the track.

I have been lucky enough to have the first tuned street 968 that RS Barn has done, and my 968 has become a "Weapon" on the street. The power band comes alive at 2,000 RPM and never lets go...

I let one of Pete's race car Clients drive my car yesterday, he was in awe of the power of MY car....

Another great success !

I arranged to take car with Racing Exhaust to make finished product next week. I should be able to post some pictures and eventually some sound clip. Not sure what final sound level will be. Hoping to very deep and agressive but not much louder than typical Cat Back.

The power gains are impressive, even by my standards!!!

I'll post dyno stuff eventually.

Pete please excuse a neophyte, but is this new racing chip for street use and what mods are necessary if so?

The RACING CHIPS WILL WORK WITH Stage 1 or Stage 2 mods on street, but don't comply with emissions standards. They actually may pass in some states depending what testing standard is used.

I'm really targeting cars that are primarily used for DE or Racing.

Just got off the phone with Pete - trying to wrangle my car in there this weekend if space frees up! Can't resist more power for the track

Jay - that's hopefully a plan! We'll see if Pete can wrap up some of the jobs he's got. I'd be keen to check out the uber power of your street attack machine...I do have valid plates and valid registration and insurance so we could drive my race car but that might attract the wrong kinda attention to Pete's shop...

I've been getting some requests for info on new Racing Chips.

Stage 1R is for Stock Header with RSB cat back.

Stage 2R is for RSB Header and RSB Cat back

There will be more varients soon after we tune RSB Header with Racing Exhaust and with Stage 2 Cams, Larger Injectors and Racing Exhaust.

The Fun Continues

There are a few pieces that also come with new R Chip. I haven't decided on prices or trade in yet.

My car was the test mule for Stage 1R. Just picked it up tonight. No more hesitation around 2500-3000, just smooth linear power. Much more refined than the stock tune. Should have come this way from the factory. Also, lugging at low rpms under load is substantially reduced. I find I don't have to downshift as much, I can just leave it in the higher gear. Very nice!

After driving a bit more... car feels much more eager under part throttle, especially in first gear. Big difference. Shifting is slightly different too since there is a little more part-throttle power available when engaging the next gear.

Sounds Good, there is nothing better than having a tune that gives better drivability under part throttle.

I've raced 2 stroke shifter karts for some years, and sometimes the motor wants full throttle only! Any part throttle starts to cause flat spot problems with the power delivery etc.....

Thats good news ,Pete

was waiting for some time for these as here we dont have to worry too much about emmissions or too much noise.

So far i have Promax 7700 chip which has emmissions to comply.

Keep me posted ,please.

The Race Exhaust is designed from RS Barn Header back. It's not a cat back but Header back. There are two sections. The front having the main muffler which is a tuning device and the rear section with resonator to reduce noise. The system could be made with a more substancial muffler or resonator. Either would add to the cost. The front section also has an O 2 bung to hook up a wideband gauge in car.

Price is $849 plus you need a special chip with resistors. $199

BTW, final version is all welded up for direct fit. This is prototype with slip fit clamps

So you're not kidding when you say this is a race exhaust. No cat, no passy emissions... Hmmm... gonna be a problem for those of us who still need to drive the car to and from the track. Is it within the realm of possibility to have one made with removable connectors, so the cat could be put back as needed?

Edit: Just reread your first post, and you make it quite clear these products aren't intended for street use. Have you had a chance to make sound level measurements yet? Thanks.

Racing Exhaust...Tuned muffler is in place of cat. This just happens to be where it is happy with RSB Header. Placement is critical. Complete system is 3" There is a slight lag from 2k to 3k, but power and torque is better from there to redline.

Super deep sound until 3500rpm, then noise cancelling effect takes place. I haven't tested sound level but I think 98dba is a resonable guess
