I wasn't sure at first, but I think I like it a lot.

I dig it. Especially the hood bulge, makes it look very aggressive and sets it apart from other models + previous M3's.

Since it's the first non-straight-6 M3 I think it's a good change.

Nice, but from the far rear it looks rather Honda-ish

Concept car. Stuff like that never seems to make it into the concept cars

To me the front view looks kinda like a monster from an early '60s Japanese monster movie. I could be wrong though.

now that you mention it, you know what it looks like - the Rancor Beast from starwars.

Isn't there a saying that first impressions are usually correct. I like it too but I would have a hard time choosing a B-Car over a P-Car.

Damn!!!! The new Infiniti G35 looks swee... oh crap, I didn't read the header

I guess that's a BMW...

But the REAL question in all of this is: What is a Porsche driver doing on a BMW website? I gave Flash a pass because it's his lady's car and he doesn't tinker with it. Cruising BMW bulletin boards is WAY on the other side of ok, however!!!

Ok, Yea, As a young Flasher you didn't watch those movies? Yea right. Not buy'in it!

As far as the M3 is concerned, to me it's overstyled. BMW at one time had some of the best looking cars out there. No more IMHO. Look at the simple functional beauty of the 968. Nothing BMW can come close to matching it. Just my.02

Back in the late 80's, I was head-over-heels for the E30 M3 with the notorious "boy racer" fender bulges. Then the E36 M3 that followed really blew my mind. Both of these cars were handsome with "reasonable" curb weight.

Then came the E46 M3. Again, great looking car, but HEAVY!!!! So, for me, the M3 middle child (the E36 M3), is my favorite of the bunch.

With the new E90 M3 with its V8, I'm afraid that it'll be even heavier than the E46. So not for me.

As far as the styling of the new E90 M3 (as well as other newer sports cars), why are all these "modern" cars so pissed off. The faces (e.g., fronts), have angry eyes and barbed teeth.

What the hell? Is this to say to the car ahead of you "get the f#@% out of the way!?!!" Is it really that important to run up on somebody's ass with that pissy little BMW face just to launch forward to the next car that isn't going quite fast enough.

Like many of you, I prefer 3,000 lb or so sports cars with "friendly happy faces."

with the introduction of the new M3 will they discontinue the M5 / M6 ? I mean, what would be the point of producing those anymore ? and while on the topic, what's with 3-5-6 ? are germans superstitious of number 4 ?

anyway, they're all butt-ugly, IMHO. in the last 20 + years Z 8 has been the only stunning BMW produced..again, IMHO..
