I have been a 968 fan for a long time at PCA events. Casually looked at getting a 968 every once in while when something came along. Recently, starting more seriously looking and got on here to get educated.

Hi,

I'm in Bucks County, and usually show up at cars and coffee in Doylestown. If you want to see one live, and up close I'd be happy to meet you.

Happy to share mine with you as well if you're still looking in October. It has the all important roof option. Makes it much stiffer and fasterSmile Awaiting flames from well known cabriolites...

Oh and welcome to the board!

Jay will probably blabber on how his is faster because it's silver too.

Of course, Silver is clearly known to be the fastest color...that said I have all the stiffness required and my gently modified 968 provides plenty of blood pressure raising speed...

Roofs are a very overrated option and cut down on the available romancing positions - LMAO!!

The only cab faster than a Polar Silver Cab, is a Polar Silver Cab with a Chestnut Brown interior!

Clearly you need to expand your mind on these romance issues. Animals and vertically challenged people come to mind as possible solutions. Roofs are cool. Not silver of course.

And besides, I have to like silver, I didn't get to pick the color.

Ink, Not true, you always get to choose the color. Just because it was your friend's car and it was cheap, doesn't mean you had to have it. Oh and there is no such thing as a cheap Porsche as we all know...

I wanted to make sure GXL got all the information he needed about which cars were fastest and why coupes are the best. All I had to do was egg on the cab guys, and it worked out perfectly. It's always fun to wake up and see what the latest conversation is.

Again, welcome to the board.

The cab guys are easy. Ink I feel bad about your color challenge. Perhaps in a couple of years you will go to the other side and be a silver fanatic! Till then enjoy. Lol

Aaaaand poor GXL still only has one post. With all the good-natured banter we probably scared him/her into buying a Subaru.

The color is ok, It's just that I love red cars. The silver is growing on me a lot. It is fun to let the coupe guys think they are getting under our skins as cab guys too..lol

The most fun is I had just shut down my antique shop in the local antique mall because I got tired of all the pettiness and when everyone was like "So what are you doing now" and I drive up in the car, and said "I bought a Porsche" it was great.

I loved Philly went I visited. I spent an entire day photographing at Eastern State Penitentiary..I had access to many areas that are off limits tot he general public including the infirmary and the roof of the warden's house.

Some of my family members had "exclusive views" of the Eastern State Penitentiary, but we prefer not to discuss this in polite company

My great uncle (a devout Cadillac driver) once bought a "stinkin' Lincoln" and returned it 3 weeks later...color unknown.

My People bought only American cars until my generation.
