There are plans that the race could be paired with Montreal in June-July with Austin moved to the end of the season in fall.

Back to the eighties when US hosted 2 Grand Prix as well! Or even 3 like in 1983 (Las Vegas, Detroit, Lon Beach) !

I sure hope it works out, both for Austin (my home) and New Jersey. To tell you the truth, even though I'm interested in going to the race, I'm more excited about the new, world class track being built in my backyard (in addition to the two outstanding tracks already within 20 miles of my house), which I hope to drive on someday. I lived in Phoenix when they had the race there for a few years, and it was an unmitigated disaster - nobody showed up. Hopefully Austin and NJ will have better luck. It would be nice if there were an American driver or two on competitive teams, or better yet, an American team with an American driver.

I am a bit skeptical of NJ for F!. The F1 in the US has been an yes/no venue and now we are going to 2 races here. Guess we have to see what Bernie has for the US this time.

Yeah, my concern is just that nobody cares about F1 in the US. When the race was in Phoenix, they had a rubber duck race down the Salt river the same weekend, and it out-drew the F1 race by something like 10:1! I'm not making this up...
