Thanks guys. Turns out to be a great order.

I've seen one red one near here (Kirkland, near Seattle) but hope to see more.

First track day in a few weeks, can't wait to get plates on the car and start driving it.

Looks like it is ready for business! Who are tracking with, PCA, Proformance, other?? I'll be out at the Proformance day on 6/24.

I very rarely see 968's in the wild around here.

It's supposed to be an RS Barn exhaust, but haven't had a chance to put it up on the lift yet. Hoping to get it registered soon. But it is definitely a track focused build...

I have been going to PCA and BMW DE days but haven't checked out the Proformance days yet - how are they?

I'm signed up for the July 10th day and hoping to get some more on the calendar soon...

What shop do you use Eric?

I used to do a lot of PCA days but now it is mostly racing. I haven't done a Proformance day before so I can't tell you how it is, but they happen often and are popular with the lapping crowd. I need to shake down the car after an engine swap so I'm excited to get the car back on track.

I do all my own work but have a few different places I'd recommend depending on what you need. What area do you live in? Leif at Autowerks NW in Woodinville knows these cars well.

Hi Eric,

I'll be interested to hear how the Proformance day is.

I do basic stuff on my cars - brakes/rotors, etc... But was wondering who you'd talk to re: cage issues and any big engine/transmission issues if those arise. Hadn't heard of Autowerks - appreciate the tip. Is Fordahl well thought of?

thanks

I'm sure Eric can chime in here as well, but I'll share my exprince with you. I haven't had any experince with Autowerks, but I did have my car in at Fordahl's a few times this year to get it ready for the track season (track insp., alignment, fluids, new shocks). They're definitely my favorite of the couple shops that I've tried out here. Greg and Matt (the two main mechanics) know what they're doing, honest (from my experince and what others have said) and on top of that are just good guys to work with. When I was asking around for shop recommendations Fordahl's was always at the top of the list, espeically for 944\968. I've found their rates to be very reasonable as well. Although like I've said I haven't tried all the shops in the area.
They're primarily a race prep shop so it can be a bit difficult to get your car in right away and sometimes Greg gets called away last minute for a race (happened to me once) so you need to plan ahead a bit and be patient with getting the appointment. But once the car was actually in the shop everything was taken car of nicely.
There's a bunch of good Porsche shops in the area but I plan on having Fordahl's do the work on my car FWIW.

Tim
