As this site has clearly become the focal point of all things 968, we are now seeing contributions of members who are out there searching the web for cars for sale and such. This is GREAT!

Obviously these should not be in the Classifieds section, which is for member's cars only, and Sightings isn't really right either, since that is really for things you see on the road. Still, these ads are important, and need a home.

To facilitate that, understanding that prospective buyers make up a fair portion of our membership, and wanting to help them in their quest, a new category has been created so that people can list links to ads for 968s for sale that they find in their travels around the web. This is found in the <b>Buyer's Guide</b> section. In addition to this new category, you will also find "<b>Buyer's Guide Tips</b>" and "<b>Posts that any 968 owner should read</b>"

Wow. You really have a knack for this web master thing. The new features and categories are well thought out and practical.

Ever think of adding the 944 to the forum? Many owners have both and the cars are similar. Would also open the way for hundreds of new members.

Then again, the sight is pure and focused the way it is. Too many members could ruin the good community we have here.

Great new category. The idea of including the 944 is a compelling one but I like to specific focus on the 968 also. That's an idea worth ruminating on.

This is a great new category!
I've really been enjoying the links that people have been providing. They make it very easy to keep in tune with the 968 "market", so to speak.
Making a separate category encourages more of this. A good thing IMHO.

One suggestion is that when people post to this category, it would be great if they included a few key data items from the link such as price, location, color, mileage, and any significant options or mods. The reason is that the links are only temporary and in a short period of time the info in the subforum disappears.
If everyone added this info to the posts, it would create a valuable data archive. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]
