968 Forums is proud to announce its new LIFESTYLE section.

Believe it or not there are other things in the world of interest to a lot of people besides just the 968. We see it creep into threads all the time. Rather than constantly have to try to figure out how to have those conversations, while keeping a thread on track, we thought we would just provide an area where they can happen, develop as fully and interestingly as other threads, and really open up dialogs that would otherwise seem either out of place, or awkward.

So, check it out. There are a lot of areas, from cigars to sports, and everything in between. We will add more as we think of them.

Have fun.

This is something we have been talking about for a while, glad we could finally put this in place.

One caveat...we still want this to be a place that a 13 year old can visit without parents worrying about the content...there are plenty of places on the web for that stuff.

PLEASE nothing that is NSFW (Not Safe For Work).

Apparently I am not allowed to see Jay's new topic in the wine section... Is that because I've always proclaimed my preference for beer and you all are shunning me?!

It's a very exclusive sub-forum with stringent membership requirements. Not sure how Jay made it in there. It will be the same for the new Nascar sub-forum.

Can we have a subforum for those of us who like beer and do not like Nascar?!

Jay's sneeky that way... weasels into everything!

NASCAR forum! I'm sure there must be one somewhere else and not on the 968 forum. That would really dilute the content and purpose of this site. IMHO

As I said to you earlier today, not only a great idea but kudos to the forum for not only coming up with the idea but having the vision to encourage an expanded member participation!

Not a good idea at all , gives rise to the potential for limitless topics and thus way to many friggin threads and posts to keep up with .. damn you for that, but I have a feeling I'll manage somehow , lol. However, NOTHING is more important than the 968 so as long as everyone knows that, I suppose we can enjoy the banter in this new segment.. I predict this singlehandedly is the beginning of the end of Facebook - long live 968Forums " LS " !

I always remember meeting Greg Coe, who was about 13-14 when I first met him. Jeff's passion for the 968 certainly rubbed off and it was Greg who led me to my 1992 Porsche Calendar (with 968 coin). I would like to be able to assure fathers that their sons are safe to read this site without supervision (though they may pick up some very expensive hobbies).

I would believe Jay that most if not all of us agree with you. Do you remember when you were that age?

You realize you've created a monster with this Section don't you? Opened the Forums this morning to browse with my coffee and the top 5 posts have nothing to do with 968s. What is up with that?
