New 968 owner "my little car"
#1

I recently purchased a Iris blue metallic 1994 Porsche 968. I had it shipped from Texas. I had to replace several belts and the water pump as well as the ignition switch. I also put a new car radio in. Next week I will have some body work done on it (front and back bumper). It is now running like a charm and this car is my everyday car. I call it my little car because I drove a Toyota 4Runner prior to this Anyway here are a few pics of the car. I'm glad I have found this message board so I can read and write about 968s when I'm not driving mine

Welcome aboard! I believe you have one of only 2 Iris 968's on the board (at least amoung the active members).

Nice car and a great color. What color interior do you have? Send me a PM and you can register your car with the 968 registry. Also, you may want to consider joining PCA (the Porsche club) and the PCA 968 register. I see you are in NJ. We are planning a 968 get together in NJ in September (see events area of this site for details). You are welcome to join us. Good luck. Jeff

The interior is light grey (don't know the official name for the color). I'll definately check out the NJ get together. Thanks for your help.

Yes an excellent color choice for the 968(one of my favorites). You can check the codes for the interior color but most likely the grey is "classic". If the color leans more towards the white end of the spectrum it would be "linen".

More pics if you please!

Welcome ! Indeed the best color for these cars , and a well known fact also the fastest production 968s were the Iris blue coupes.

Wishing you many enjoyable and safe miles miles ahead !

not sure about whether that blue came any other way or not, but there were many different combinations of interior colors, some monotone, some two tone, etc
