After owning this car for three months I just drove this car from Yuma AZ to Maryland, what a great ride! Before leaving I had Stuttgart Southwest in Phoenix service the car with new timing belts and tensioners. Jack was awesome (one of the most honest, knowledgeable, and professional mechanics I have ever dealt with) and they do top notch work. When I move back to Arizona they will have my business for any service I can't do.
Trip was fast, covered 2,900 miles in 2 1/2 days, managed to get stopped by the cops a few times but was not issued any tickets, let off with a warning each time. The car is not the most comfortable, a bit loud on road noise and tram lines pretty bad but overall I loved this car during the trip. Cruised at 80-90 mph most of the time and got 26-28 mpg. (One thing I liked about Texas, 80 mph speed limit). Avoided the storms by traveling through the southern states but still hit a little ice through South Carolina. The one damage I sustained was a rock chip on the hood which was painful but I can live with it.
I will not hesitate to take this car on a cross country trip again.
