Need help to diag this rattle
#1

I identify that the rattle comes from the clutch housing area , where theres a hole you can see in, but i dont see anything out of ordinary, the rattle is amplified into the cabin thru the gear knob, the rattle is not exactly rpm dependent, and it doesnt happen all the time. It happens with or without the clutch pedal depressed, and the clucth feels normal, no excess travel, or spliping.

Does anyone kwon what this might be?? Similar experiences??

At first i thought it was a heat shield or a loose exhaust, but everything is tight very good.

I had a strange rattle that I couldn't quite track down. One day I discovered that my balance belt was gone, and replaced it. The rattle disappeared.

Your balance belt OK?

yes , the belts are fine, and i had a look yesterday, it seems new, as for the ac belt, and timing belt. do they need re-tensioning? cus they were changed by the previous owner, a 2000 miles ago.

any more ideas?
