Need a new Amp for my car. Feedback needed
#1

Hi Guys, I have the premium sound option with the 10 speaker? option anyway I need a new amp I believe as I get crackling/distorition "periodically" from one of my speakers in the passenger door. It seems to happen under load, but will go away if I power it off or down usuaally.

I think i should replace the amp, what kind do I need? I want the least expensive replacement providing at least equal performance. How many channels does my new amp need to be?

All help appreciated....

Kevin

I just bought and installed a Pioneer Premiere. Great sound. Many good features. WAY too complicated to operate. If I had it to do over, I'd get something else.

lol - i have the deh980bt - definitely a handful, but once it's tuned, a pleasure for sure - i like the audio tuning much better than the avic units (and i have 3 of those)

back to kevin's problem though, it could be the crossover - i'd take the door apart and fiddle around in there to see if a connection has gone south, a speaker voice coil is failing, or if it's indeed the amp

OK I'll look into those 3 potentials, if the amp is shot though I would be interested in your factory one Flash.

no problem - it's just sitting here waiting for a good home - can't remember if i put a price tag on it or not, but no worries - i'm easy

lol - i meant to ask - why do you want feedback? i usually try to tune that out of a system
