N/A RS Barn dyno results
#1

I thought I's post my results here, for the members to comment on.

The car has about 99400 miles.

It is equipped with the airbox mod and RS Barn 4-1 header, race-cat, cat-back system and Stage 2 chip.

The engine has been maintained very well, but has never been rebuild. Compression is pretty equal on all 4 cylinders.

Only one run was done, because this day they had to handle about 30 cars, but for a mere 50 euros, I at least have an idea.

The people from Heinz said this dyno is on the pessimistic side.

Hopefully one of you guys can give me some feedback on the results :-)

You can try a little bit turn position of camshafts.

First clockwise to the right.

Keep cams open and you will level and hold between 45 and 6. Will give good pull longer. Just had this done in my recently totaled track car. These were not stock cams though.

Rap - I can imagine different cams make all the difference and maybe would take a different course of action, as you seek the power in high rpm's and I want to maximise torque down low.

I don't know if "trying" some cam settings is a good idea... Would the difference be clearly noticable anyway?

Regular cams ,between extra  5 to 10 HP in the range 4000 - 7000. Since I have  discovered this I always use a dyno to correct position of the cam's

Not sure with OEM exhaust

I got a 4-1 header and RS Barn exhaust with chip. Doing tests on a dyno would work, but that would be quite expensive too.

IT takes 20 minut  ,but central camshaft bolt should be changed for new one after alignment every time!!
