Sweet ride!

What shade of Blue is that?

Did you make the dash yourself.

I wish I went down the same path. I had started collecting the parts.

But decided against it. And sold my collection.

Had I done this I might not be looking for a new car now.

Great work in a relatively short period of time.

The specs are killer. Have you had an opportunity to record any performance numbers? 0-60, 0-100, top speed etc.

David

Forgot to mention, I've never seen that hood before. The long opening in the center with a deflector on it.

Im going to try the web host that rhudeboy gave me, I have almost 1,000 miles on the engine so I am slowly turning the boost up as I started with only 9 PSI! I will get it dynoed this summer when I have it tuned for 16 PSI until then I can only speculate with rough #'s but its a 968 104 MM block standard bore size with low compression Tom Charlesworth spec Arias coated pistons, lightweight 951 rods, Lindsey super 61 turbo,

B & B stainless headers, 3" downpipe and 4" exhaust, 72 LB injectors, 2.7 head with all 951 springs and exhaust valves, wide fire ring, and ported and matched intake manifold! This motor has been modeled after the factory turbo S so it looks almost identical! I installed the carbon fiber GT racing dash its a very good quality! Hand stitched the blue into the shiftboot and CS steering wheel!

Personally, I would have been more impressed if you had built a robot to build your car.

The engine looks great. I like how you went with the original TS style intake feed.

RH makes a replica of the Speedline which is easier to get and cheaper. It is almost identical, except the center isn't polished.

This hood has the turbo S NACA vents with the drivers side feeding the airbox and the RS intercooler 2 piece vent which has a seal on it and feeds the fresh hot air through the intercooler and out the top of the car! Works wonders for cooling and helps keep the air out from under the car!

Eric have you looked at the RH 3.6 wheels lately they are the same price as Porsche brand new speedlines through Sunset!

They are also 1 piece knock offs that weigh a little more!

Yes, they are about the same price new but those are the 3 piece knock offs that weigh about the same.

nice car bro. Did you have to delete the A/C? Also how much boost can you go with street fuel?

but the big question is how the heck are you registering it in california? that's the only thing that has been snagging me from going forward - a buddy got stopped not long ago by the "side of the road" smog cops - they impounded his car for having illegal stuff - going through CARB has been a lot of work

It has been years since I bought my RH's. At the time they were less than half of a set of used Speedlines. I didn't think Speedline made those style wheels anymore. The RH 3.6's are a true 3 piece and not too bad weight wise. Don't confuse the 3.6 style with the cheaper RH one pieces that sorta/kinda look the same.

You should add some engine pics to this thread too. There is one in the other thread from today.

I used all the 951 S hard parts like oiling, mounts, wiring and water cooling including 951 S air conditioning lines! Stock 951 S camshaft and computers with custom mapped chips! I run 96 octane so far as Sears Point is 10 minutes away and I dont really drive the car to far maybe 300 miles from the house is as far as its gotten. If I leave the boost at 12 PSI I could run on 91 and get 25 MPG on the highway still! I just wouldnt be able to make the horsepower that I like to tap into when I drive this car! When I get behind the wheel of this machine theres no sense in driving around like my grandma I like everyone to hear the wastegate open as it dumps to atmosphere!

And Flash you need to lighten up on the smogg stuff and get a PO BOX out in the country! Like Sonoma CA, 95476

um - still not legal in sonoma either - better check that one out again - i've been going through this for the last 8 months - does not matter where in california you register it - it still requires the same certifications - if you have a guy blessing it, he is playing russian roulette with his license

i hope you get it worked out before they get you too - i love that you've done it - i just hope you get to keep driving it - i was more hoping you had found a legal way around it

only for a year - they are scheduled to bump up in 09 like the rest of the country - standards are getting more strict each year - it's cool but a bummer at the same time

also, i've already been dinged once for having illegal stuff on the street, and was lucky i was able to get around it - my buddy was not so lucky - i'm not looking to get pulled over and risk losing the car

by the way, he got nailed out near modesto - cop was sitting at an onramp, heard him coming due to the loud exhaust, and nailed him as he passed by with a remote sniffer - pretty crazy

just better in the end to go through the process and get it approved - that's what i am doing and why

but we are digressing from the point of the thread

more pics!!!
