only for a year - they are scheduled to bump up in 09 like the rest of the country - standards are getting more strict each year - it's cool but a bummer at the same time
Great build Boost. Looks like a real stunner!

And I am very happy to announce my 968 just went smog/emissions exempt this year! The genius's here in the Missouri government decided to exempt all cars 1995 and older (without obd-2) from any emissions inspections. So 2/3 of the cars in my family are exempt! Is this a sign that I need to start moding?

SWEET!!! the good news about that is that such laws generally get grandfathered in, so it should not be repealed in 09

i wonder if somehow that could happen here?

and yes! start modding! have fun

Is it just me or does the hood look like it is slightly open in the first pic. The pic looking down into the intercooler kind of looks that way too. Is that the way it was designed or just how the pictures were taken?

Good thing you're moving all those parts cars.

That must not have been cheap.

Is this the finishing touch?

You would be suprised at how cheap I kept the total price tag down for this cars build sheet. It took a lot of work as it was all done by me and the few things I did have to take to be refinished or machined was $$ nothing really? Lets just say I could build another one for even less and you could take it all the way with a lightweight race turbo RS theme in mind or you could go a little simpler less jolting suspension set street car that was a good car for those who do not want high horsepower, gas bills or maintenance cost's! If you were to go out right now and buy a very nice clean low mileage 968 coupe then spend the next couple months paying someone to get everything mechanical, interior, and visual just the way you wanted it thats about what I paid for my car and all the money that went into it. My time was free of course as you very rarely get that back on projects such as these.

What a slick looking car.

The vents look great and the front splitter really sets off the front.

More pics would be great.

Boost Feen: any plans for a 16 valve head? Just curious as to why you chose 8v head.
