just a note: it was kind of the other way around on the 996 - the boxster used the 996 stuff, as the front part of the car is the same from the doors forward



but i get the idea - that's one of the reasons i didn't like the boxster - i liked that they used the 996 front end, as i like that front end, but i didn't like that they used the rest of the tub and doors, because i sit funny in that tub and am not comfortable



as for steve mcqueen's car, i get that - i have a buddy who owns the watch he wore in le mans - we know it's the real one because ali mcgraw gave it to my buddy - i don't really like the watch, but since it was steve's...............
