Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays !
#1

T'was the night before Christmas and through the garage not a creature was bitching, not even…

The wrenches were hung on their pegs with care and RS Barn was closed, or at least pretended weren't there

The 968s all snug in their spaces, all waiting for the next opportunity for streets or races.

With me by the 'puter and Melva with a map, we settled for planning a Spring warm up tramp.

When out in the drive there a rose such noise I figure we'd slept through and were being invaded by the boys.

I looked out to the window and saw a big Flash, he'd just come from Cali and I guess he wanted to crash.

And what to my wondering eyes should appear but a shiny Porsche with all of the gear,

A strut brace, a header, some shocks and an airbox, a chassis stiffner and automatic locks.

So into my house the Flash he did flew, and I hoped in a jif that Pete would come too. His flight bag was filled with treasures from west… the lightened flywheel I liked the best.

I made a few calls and with haste our party grew, the garage was filled with me and my crew. Oh smokie, oh Duckman and Anchorman too, Cosimo, Darryl, Red Baron who now has 13.2

He went into my garage and fiddled with care. He adjusted the cables and filled the tires with just the right amount of air. I knew that come Spring the horses would be there...

I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight…it can be turbo charged and again I just might.

Best wishes for a happy, healthy holiday season,

Jay

Yes indeed. Well, Festivus is almost over. Only the family face-stogging remains, flavoured with running commentary from the Paternal Bug himself. And what should follow? - Restivus, lasting until December 15. Restivus - the rest of the year - the time to pay for Festivus, shovel snow, mow the grass, plant the garden, rake leaves and generally bemoan the fact Festivus is both the cause and the ruination of Restivus. Next year, the Baron of Bugtussel will introduce legislation to the Counsel of Peckerheads in Bugtussel to outlaw Festivus. This will then also make Restivus unnecessary. A new year-round festival, known now as Hemipterus (truly putting the "bug" back into Bugtussel) will begin on December 15, 2009. There will be celebration and joy throughout the land. Even Jerry Seinfeld will take notice - he already has seen that the Baron has a minor collection similar to his own. Just on more of a budget.

Give Praise! Sing Songs! Restivus begins!
