Looking for a 968
#1

Hi, I'm new to the forum and looking for a 968 cab 6-speed. Had a 944 cab 5-speed and loved it but traded "up" to a Boxster S with PDK. Don't know if it was the PDK, the Boxster, the fact the car was under warranty and I couldn't tinker on it, or just me getting older, but it was boring. Great car, but no fun factor. I've also had several versions of 928s. Of them all the 944 cab was my favorite fun car. So I sold the Boxster and want to try a 968. Convertible with a gear box. I'm a do-it-yourselfer so I'll be looking to the forum for help once I get a car and will try to help where I can. Look forward to some good posting!

Don,

From one "Porsche-less" guy to another, welcome! (I sold my '92 just a few weeks ago and now haunt the Forums.)

I might have to get a 944 cab or an S2 cab someday. Anyway, good luck finding one. Lots of folks here know when cars are going to be sold, so maybe you'll hear about one.

Best wishes,

Scott

Try AdHuntr or AutoTempest. I found quite a few on there before I found mine. A lot in Texas too!.

I live in Oregon and bought mine from Pete of RS Barn and had it shipped cross country for about $1,200 (shiping chg) the car was $17,000, 4 years ago. He used to have a repair shop speciliazing in the front engine Porsche. I understand while he no longer has the shop he does buy and sell the cars. He would be a good source for buying one. You can trust him on resale.

Welcome! Don, as former Boxster owner myself and the current ower of a 6-speed cab I think you'll be pleased. I also like to tinker with my car and Design1Racing became an addiction. Best of luck, Dan
