living in orange county can make you dizzy
#1

many of you have been to the "crystal cove" event here in orange county, and been stunned by the amazing cars that you would see there - many more of you have seen the pictures and drooled, just as we did when we were there

unfortunately the neighbors above the shopping center in which it was held moaned and groaned enough about the noise that it was closed, and moved to the ford offices a few miles away - i had been meaning to make it over there for the past year now that i live so close, but just never seemed to make it - well, i finally did

WOW!

this puts crystal cove to shame - it was overwhelming - there were so many amazing cars it made us dizzy - ron, jarod and i didn't know where to begin - there was no way we could get to everything before we had to leave to get back to detail day, but i did my best to get some shots to give you an idea of what we were seeing - i had to take distance shots, because there were just way too many cars - i didn't even get at least 100 of them in an adjacent pair of lots - it would have taken at least all day to see them all

and this happens EVERY saturday, with a different marque featured every week - enjoy

We have here in Europe a program on Discovery Channels named Orange County Choppers.

The Teutels family always have problems with there internal converstations.

Do they visited these happings as well?

I've seen some of the choppers overhere in europe that they build. But the quality was very poor.

I do hope these car I've seen on the photos have a better quality.

Nice BMW from the early seventies! I saw on one of the pictures.

I miss a 968!

Thanks for posting the pics..! I agree, that puts most professionally organized shows to shame.

I wish there was a similar get-together North of L.A. - there's a lot of sporty cars in L.A. County alone...

It was whiplash over the top crazy with cars! I believe we saw at least 8 TR6's, 2 TR8's, Cotina's!?!, and.....There were 3 new M3's (dealer driven) which were just brought into the country for sale last week! The new Jag XF showed as well and it was really sharp looking in person. The Maserati, Lambo, Ferrari crowd were in full force as well as the Elite gang. If anyone has the opportunity to travel to SoCal and has the chance to make the Saturday event trust me you don't want to miss it.

Wow, quite the variety. In one of the shots I saw a mid-eighties Dodge charger turbo (in red). I used to have one of those. I was looking for a nice 968 cab, maybe in midnight blue but I didn't see one...

Wrong Orange County... They're from Orange County in New York, this is Orange County in Southern California.

Confusing, I know.

I never opened this thread before as I read the title and thought it was Flash getting lost on way to RS Barn.

WOW. What an event. And this is every week you say? Very cool. Theres something similar in Anne Arundal and Upper Marlboro MD but there mostly older American cars. All in great condition but a much older crowd as well.

Me and my Fam will be heading West this summer for a week. As the date approaches I'm gonna PM ya Flash to see if I can slip through to wittiness this event 1st hand.
