F stock 968 racers. I would like us to consider changing our class to E stock. I like racing a ton of cars and that's why I'm in F Stock. E Stock is a little thin in the numbers but if we joined their ranks along with some of the 944 S2 cars it would be as big of a class as F.
I looked at the power to weight ratio in the rule book and it looks like we will be competitive with the Turbo S.
My main reasoning for wanting to switch is to lighten the car from 3100 lbs to 2900 lbs.
Lightening the car to 2900 lbs for PCA opens the door for racing competively with other series, mainly NASA.
I 've got 225 lbs of ballast and leather seat on the passenger side to make weight for F, I have the spare tire (40 lbs) and the heavy battery (35 lbs). This alone is 300 lbs.
1) As an E 968 Firehawk you can race at 2900 lbs, with the 300 lbs of ballast.
2) As a Nasa GTS3 car you could remove this 300 lbs and be competitive against
the E 36 BMW M3's.
LOU, What are the specs on the 968 Firehawk?
Who ran you car and what was he allowed to do to it?
Gears...shorter?
Engine?
Chip?
Interior....Are the interiors allowed to be different from the F stock racers?
