The CEL is constantly on, and I'm getting a 1-1-3-1 code (knock sensor 1). I've done a search on the forum, but no info is here on the board on how to replace it, and the links to the manuals are down. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Also, since I have 137,500 on the odometer, does it make sense to replace both sensors? One last thing, is the triggering of the knock sensor indicative of something else going on?

I also was always getting that same code - every time I drove past about 4200 rpm or so. Repaced a lot of stuff, including the knock sensors (both), all necessary (I think), and then discovered that my car had an aftermarket chip that just didn't seem to get along with everthing. Jay Kravitz on this forum sold me an original chip and I have not had a problem since. You might also want to check the plug and coil wires - I was getting a bit of discharge from the wires into the engine that I doubt was helping any.
