I have an inoperative keyless entry system, after market, a Prestige (Audiovox) APS-45. It was installed two owners ago and (according to the owner immediately previous to me) was working until the day I picked up the car. I have located owners and installation manuals. The owner that installed it noted on 968.net quite a while ago that it is wired into the Porsche computer under the passenger seat.
I cannot locate the computer under that seat, any sort of re-set or valet button, and do not have a wiring diagram for the computer.
Any suggestions?

Reclaiming the thread... ;-)
I also have some kind of steady drain on my battery going on. I thought at first that it was just an old battery from Atlanta (where I bought the car) not handling the Denver cold. After purchasing a new DieHard, I came out yesterday to find it dead. Getting good charge while driving and it will come back up. But if it sits a while, dead again.
It seems that the first culprit to investigate is this inop keyless entry. I'm going to have a local shop pull out the old system, check out any voltage leaks, and install a new keyless system.
