Hi all just purchased a 1993 968 one owner in pretty good condition, a daily driver that needs some TLC. Hope to get some here.

@phantomrecords

I am in a similar situation. Purchase an essentially one owner car (since 1993) four weeks ago.

Good luck!

Take a look at the new owner/member guide. It will tell you a lot about what you need to do to keep your car on the road.

Here's a hint: Timing and Balance Shaft Belts and alternator to starter wire. After that there is a list of lower priority things, but those two are top of the list.

Best of luck to both of you, and Welcome!

Thank you to everyone. I'm sure I will have many questions. I have had the car just a week and it's licensed and had it out and about several times. Belts and water pump were changed about 18,000 miles ago and I will check the cable soon.

Thanks all, Jeff
