Jack height problem solved (people think I'm crazy)
#1

I've been trying to think of the best way to get the car a few extra inches off the ground to get the jack (with plate) under. Leading option was putting a few pieces of a 2x10 together to drive one wheel up on. However, I walked past a construction site today on 47th and Madison in NYC and couldn't help notice the pile of scrap wood with a nice piece which was about 16 x 12 x about 3" thick (not the kind of wood you could get at Home Depot). Despite wearing a suit I leaned into the site and grabbed the piece. People definitely looked curious as I carried it back into my office (and on the train home), and this confirmed my wife's belief that this car makes me crazy, but hey, PROBLEM SOLVED !!

I used to do that as well. It becomes a real pita after a while.
Try the Sears low profile jack. It goes under a stock 968...no problem.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately my car has been lowered. I bought a Sears low profile. (not the red aluminum one). It fits under the car fine, just not with the jack plate I got from Paragon.
