Thanks to the mods for making such great improvements at this place, to share info and make great friends.

Funny thing is, even though I have not met most of the posters in person,
after years of reading posts, I still feel I know some of these folks pretty well.

I really enjoy seeing and reading about what others have done with their cars
from other countrys.

"Coffee" Being that I am in the Army, I couldn't partake of "coffee", even if I could get to Amsterdam....

The influx of intros hasn't been unmanageable *thus* far... I challenge thee, Lurkers! For Sparta!!!

We have 1,507 registered members. The number of members can be seen on the index page, and those numbers are legitimate (having gone through the registration/vetting process). The reason that member number is not so impotant is that Bob has taken extraordinary effort to exclude bot and spam accounts.

.... and of those 1507 members, only slightly more than half - 795 (or roughly 52.75%) - have input their location and are input on the Members Map. Now *THAT* is what scares me, flash...

they are "legitimate" numbers in as much as they seem to correspond to actual people - however, a couple hundred of those are old registrations from people who never posted - many have not been on the site in a while - we are in the process of updating the membership - they have all been contacted - this is why you see a sudden influx - they are coming back in and saying "hi - i'm here"

the actual count will drop at the end of the month, when we clean out the old unused memberships - this will insure that we have gotten all of the spammers out - but at that point this will be an accurate count of real and participating members

we started at over 10,000 memberships - it has been a daunting process, but what we will end up with is a very active membership of friends

lol - i'm looking forward to the map getting fully updated - i foresee many events happening around the world as a result

Now, if one of those events could be a 96tailg8 in Gainesville, FL on a gameday this fall... I'm TELLIN' ya. It could be a gas (pun intended), Gator Nation!

Probably easier to smuggle flywheels in, than "coffee" out... BTW I'm just kidding my "Clients" do not approve of anything stronger than tea.

Hopefully all the new folks and new-old folks will be a little more vocal and post more often. This place, while already bananas, could get really busy! Not sure I can handle it... Wait, let me rephrase that: Not sure I'll be able to find time to work if that happens...
