Passionate about owning a classic Porsche
#21

lol - i stated clearly that i found it humorously ironic

dan brings up an interesting point though (yes, i got the joke). i can't figure out why ANYBODY would EVER say they had 93 Cup wheels. i see it all the time though. the wheels were not specific to any year of any car. they were specific to the 993. i never see anybody post 92, 94, or 95, but i do see 93 quite a bit. weird thing i'd sure like to get right

I have to install and wash my horribly uncreative and lame personalized license plate that simply restates the obvious to the trained eye...I am sure Flash will chastise me for my unimaginative efforts - lol

That being said, he did cash my check for my parts - I wonder if he will ever ship them now - haha

Anybody heard from the original poster? I think we scared him into buying a Boxster by now...

I hope he is still around and didn't take anyone too seriously. I learned right away that the only good place to have a thick skin is on fried chicken.

It is usually all in fun, but I can see how someone might take it the wrong way sometimes.

Tama - Yea, he probably found 986forum after this, it only takes a typo as I once found out.

i think he meant what he typed - 986 not 968

that being said, perhaps he is indeed now looking for a boxster, but if he can't handle the poking, then he's probably better suited to that boring car anyway. you have to be able to handle some abuse to like and own a 968

Ah, my old enemy, dyslexia has teamed up with my new enemy, the dreaded bifocal! Arrrgh! A twosome that will be hard to defeat for sure. I can only hope they don't join forces with the dreaded "Kant Tipe" disease I suffer from as well. Time for a beer.

And that's why you have to love the members of this forum ( with very few exceptions, and those handful have already said good bye.. ) we may take our cars very seriously , but never take ourselves and /or the friendly banter that goes on all that seriously and get offended by it. Classy group, if I may say so myself.. :-)

Frankly I think I am a very serious individual. I feel seriously bad for all the poor schmo's who don't own 968. I feel bad but don't really care. While I may be serious I just can't care for those that can't see the light!
