The 968 was originally supplied with night vision goggles so you could see around the interior. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif[/img]

Just kidding, but these cars have some of the worst lighting available. I know my cab has one little VW sourced crappy interior lamp. I climb into the Audi and it is like they have a light for everything, just a freekin light show. What a contrast.

Unless I am stopped or hunting for a radio station I typically turn my interior lights almost all the way down anyway - I like it dark in there whilst driving. So I feel right at home in the old girl. BTW I just picked up a couple of replacement dome lights for the interior and the trunk cause my interior one is heat warped and the trunk light has a broken tab. Details details.

I got a speeding ticket the first week I had my car. It was after dark and I had a heck of a time even finding the interior light. I think I made the cop nervous when I kept opening the door to find my registration. I agree that the interior lighting on this car is crude. The dome light feels like it was borrowed from a 1970 bug. I've seen higher quality lighting on my kids' Fisher Price toys.

The ONLY thing missing in that interior is a tropical fish aquarium mounted in the floorboard(s) . That would complete it to perfection.
BTW, I wonder if Prince aka symbol, aka the artist formerly known as , knows about this car ?

If this was a car of the 80s I would have thought Prince fan. During the purple rain album/movie everywhere you turned something was coming out in purple. That must've been around 1986. Huh, the 68 probably wasn't even sketched up yet.
