How responsible of a driver R U
#1

I completely understand and agree with all this talk about being safe during these winter months, as road conditions are dangerous in many areas. However I’m at a point in my life where I know better but half the time I find myself not following the course of wisdom.

Case in point: While driving the 968 home from B-more yesterday I came a across a challenger in a burgundy Mustang. XL wing, flames on the side, racing stripe down the middle, tinted windows, rims etc. This Clown, after entering the HWY aggressively jumped over all 3 lanes and started riding my bumper at speeds of 75mph.

We all know what the mature and responsible thing to do is but be honest, what would you do?

note: That seemingly heavy traffic is do to the frequent on ramps. It cleared up in about a mile.

PS- As I knew what I had to do I pulled out my cam phone and took this goodbye shot from my r-view!

Behold the clown

OMG. Just started reading the Galva story. That was not what I was referring to when I said all this talk about safe driving.

My 99 GT Mustang Convertible with its 4.6 V8 sure seems faster than my 968, but from 60 to 120 the 968 is much more fun to drive.

Nope, not sure. I was able to hear him get on it as traffic cleared up. Thing is, all mustangs carry a grunt at WOT. i know the V8 is noticeably louder but I couldnt tell from my position.

Do you find that the pull of the mustang fades after as you climb over 100?

I found these cars ( 968 ) to be very deceiving in that seat of the pants FEEL is indeed not nearly as pronounced as some others cars ( V8s in particular ), and may be slouchy by comparison from 0-60 ,

but even from as low as 20mph on.. to 150mph+ they'll easily pull ahead of stock 4.6 or 5L mustangs

( first generation anyway..) and a lot of other "muscle cars " cars who have that brute acceleration sensation.
