Well, I don't know if my way is the best way <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Easy to do - TWO MAN JOB!!!

1. Make sure all the wires to it are unclipped. I HAD to cut some wires if you're replacing the hatch.

2. Get two pieces of wood or something to hold it up for when you disconnect the struts. Disconnect the struts.

3. Gain access to the four allen bolts for the hinges. You have to peel away the weatherstripping a little and move the headliner a little.

4. Make sure someone is steadying the hatch as you loosen the bolts. Remove, voila!

What wires did you have to cut? the only wires I can see are those running down the drivers side near the roof, but I don't see how those disconnect.

If you follow the wires down behind the sun roof motor you'll see that *some* of them *can* disconnect. I don't remember which ones but I had to cut and resolder some wires....
