I originally got involved in the 968 community via, of course, google, which returned 968.net as the top result for "Porsche 968". Well, it still does return 968.net as the top result. 968forums.com isn't on the first page.
As 968.net seems to be in its last throes. . . *sniff* . . . is there anything that can be done to help this site get higher in the google search rankings?
Is this a product of 968.net being around for a long time, therefore many pages link to it, therefore google ranks it higher?
Anyhow - let's get this forum higher in the rankings so that newbies can find information and support more easily.

One thing that gets .net to the top is the Web site front end (out dated as it is). The site gets more traffic as surfers (non-owners) can come and nose around over and over.
A web site (lots of work updating) and letting people come here with out registering (read only) would help boost our standing. Eric would be best answering questions about traffic here; He has done a fantastic job of keeping crap out of here.
BTW- Eric if you ever think about a site of some kind I would be happy to help with it, I've dabbled a bit and even took some HTML class's (why?)
