hey all
#1

new member here - i live in Key Biscayne (part of Miami) - I am currently looking at two different 93 coupes for sale in SW Fla (sarasota area) - and likely will pick one up next month

i've had my current e46 M3 cab for over 7 years which is my DD and track car - looking for something a bit quicker and skinnier and hoping the 968 will fit the bill

the 968 won't be quicker than an e46 M3 cab, especially if the 968 is stock. i had one and compared them back to back. in the right hands, it can be faster on the track though, even though the performance numbers don't show it.

i guess it's a bit down on power, but my vert weighs nearly 4,000lbs with me in it which is tough to throw around on the track - im hoping nearly 800 lbs less will let me carry more speed through the corners

the M3 ragtop was about 11:1 lbs/hp but the 968 is 12:1. so, the M3 has the advantage there. however, the 968 is lighter and quicker through the corners. apples and oranges really.

the M3 is in any way worth discussing a superior car, but the 968 is a lot more fun to drive. sometimes the sum is greater than the parts.

one of the coupes im considering is midnight blue/cashmere - but the interior, particularly the seats, need some serious attention/love

Welcome! Get a PPI so the seats aren't the only thing that need attention!
