A very odd hesitation appeared this weekend on a wine country run from Santa Barbara up to Los Olivos. I strayed off the highway onto the rumble strip and when I stepped on the gas at 65 mph in sixth gear the car stumbled/hesitated a few quick times. Once back on the smooth highway, the stumbling ceased.
Today, traveling down to Coffee and Cars in Canoga Park, I hit a seam in the fast lane going up Conejo grade and the car again quickly hesitated. Connecting the hesitation with rough roads, I then experimented and noticed that I could replicate the hesitation going over the Bott's dots between the lanes. The hesitation lasts only momentarily until the rough patch ends.
Any ideas? The car has been running spectacularly since I had all the belts/rollers and water pump replaced in June.
Thanks in advance.
