968's in the PA, NJ area around Trenton, NJ
#1

One thing I have noticed recently is the number of 968's in PA not too far from Trenton, NJ.

Is there something in the water down there that makes the 968 popular? My 968 came from that area, we have many forum members from that area as well as RSBarn, and since I purchased mine I have been watching and have seen many others for sale in a 20-25 mile radius from my dealer.

Not that I am complaining or anything, just seems odd that there is such a saturation in one place.

My guess would be the population density has something to do with it. Don't forget we live in the Northeast corridor- lots o' people between Beantown and the capital.... Not sure what else contributes.

I'm just glad RSB is only 30 minutes from my house and 20 minutes from my work!

Porsche of Cherry Hill sold a bunch of 968's in 1992. I actually test drove on with my girlfriend at the time ( a black cab). At the time, I though it was slow compared to my AWD turbo Talon. Of course, it looked much better!!

Perhaps also a component/factor is that we also have a considerable amount of tracks withing a short radius (cmparatively speaking). Since 968 (like 944s) are great track cars off the box, people may keep/look for them often....

We used to live in Wayne, PA., and I would see Porsches all over. The "Main Line", the corridor between Philly and Lancaster, has got to be Porsche Central. Brandywine Porsche had a Carrera GT in their showroom. Not every dealer had one of those. I felt right at home driving my 944, then a 968. And I can definately say that the roads in that area are the best I have every driven for outright enjoyment. Loads of turns, turns and more turns. Plenty of hills to climb and more turns, turns, turns....

But now, living in East Windsor, central New Jersey, I don't see as many. Roads here are like much of Florida. Flat and straight. Zzzzzzz........ But there are 4 968's within 10 miles of me, including about 2 or 3 that I have passed but do not know the owners.
