If any of you have been thinking about ordering parts for your 968 from Porsche, but were concerned over the (usually) long shipping delay, there is Good News!
I ordered a variety of items, from interior and exterior trim parts to mechanical bits, on November 2nd, and they arrived TODAY! Really have to say that Porsche seems to have their act together, at least for the time being.
Even my Dealer, O'Daniels Porsche Audi, was amazed at the speedy delivery. Roger, the Parts Manager, was somewhat pessimistic when I placed the order, thinking it might be three (or more!) weeks before anything showed up... he called today and was as surprised as I am at the excellent response from across the pond. BTW, Roger does an outstanding job of finding any item that is still available, even at other US Porsche Dealers. I tip my Porsche cap to him!
So, if you are starting that winter project, NOW just might be a great time to get your stuff, if it has to come from Germany!
Of course, the prices are still a shock (as always!;>)) but my Dealer will discount 10% for PCA Members, which, in my case, covered all of the delivery cost and then some... so can't whine about that!
