Hello from Holland
#1

Hello there,

I'm now the proud owner of two Porsches and I feel so fortunate to be in this possition. If got a 1972 911 2.4T which I bought two years ago in San Fransico and last week I bought my "new" daily driver, a 1994 968CS. I bought it at a official Porsche dealer in germany. They took the car in as part exchange and was going to be used by the wife of the head of sales. But she wanted a 928. It was advertised as a normal 968 coupe but I spotted the cs logo on the back and after a vin check I discoverd it is a true CS. The car has 189000 kilometeres on the clock about 117500 miles. It's got a compleet history at the porsche dealer that sold me the car and best of all it had a cambelt faillure 5000 miles ago. I've got a bill for more than $ 10.000 that they spend on the engine. New pistons bearings camshafts etc etc.

Now its not a new car and it does have a few scratches here and there. It has one issue that i need to sort straight away. It's got some rust at the rear of the front wishbone crossmember. Now I'm not sure if I'll repair it or if I wil cut it out and weld a piece from a donor car in there.

But I'm so happy with this car. The ride is so different from my old 911 but still so porsche like.

Welcome to the forum. Is it me or has every new member from Holland, Sweden, Norway etc. that has joined in the the last year bought a CS? It's like that's all there is in Europe, lucky to have that choice.

Welcome to the Forum from a Canadian with Dutch "heritage"!

You will enjoy the great interaction on the Forum and the wealth of information.

Side note: I am planning a "spring break" trip to Holland next March with the wife and two youngest daughters. At that time I would like to meet some Dutch 968 owners. I will keep you all posted on the developments!

I don't know if you are registered on the Dutch Porsche forum, but here is a link to the 968 topic. We have quite an active group of 968 guys in the Netherlands:
