Hello from Portugal
#1

Hello all!

I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Hugo and I live in a great northern portuguese city called Braga, about 30 minutes from the beach (well... 20 mins now on the 968...).

I just purchased a mint condition 93 midnight blue 968 with 160k kms. I am new to Porsche, but have been following them since i was a kid. This is really a kid's dream that finally came true!
I was looking for a more budget friendly 944 S2, but was lucky to find this amazing 968 which happened to be from a friend of a friend, so i know it came from good hands.
It's really in good shape and always taken care of, with all Porsche service proofs.

I really enjoy driving this car, it is such an experience that only a person that already drove one can understand.
I am looking forward to really getting to know this car inside and out. I have never been much of a wrencher nor do i have the knowledge about that, but I really want to learn with this car - because it will be fun and because Porsche service is SO expensive around here...

I'm sure I will be getting loads of information and valuable help here and look forward to also help on whatever i can to contribute to this forum.

Have fun with your 968's!!!

Hugo

Welcome aboard and see if you can't get that beach time down to 15 min.

"because Porsche service is SO expensive around here... "

By around here you mean earth right?

Welcome, I completely understand how you feel. The best and worse part is that there are a lot of goodies out there to make that experience even better. Wait till you have to replace something then check in here. We've all been through it as there isn't a 68 out there under 15 years old.

Enjoy

David

Braga - muito bem vindo ao melhor site 968!
This is great! Someone from Portugal. I lived in Brazil (Brasil!) for 20 years.
I hope to visit Portugal some day.

Ryan, David, Jake,

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes indeed Porsche service IS expensive!
But my concern is that the most challenging task i ever did in a car was to replace bulbs...
Not that i don't understand most of the stuff and how they work, but i guess i never had the guts to try it myself...

I will have a good start with replacing the gears on the sunroof and maybe even to re-align/calibrate the switches (i don't even know what i am saying here... LOL).

Jake, if you ever come to Portugal let me know! For sure you will be very welcome here.

Happy fast turns to all!

Hugo
