I misused it. When I normally use it it is done jokingly. I would hate for our Scottish buddies to feel slighted. Flash or Jay and a couple of other guys who I have met probably wouldn't be offended. Sarcasm is often misunderstood!

Andy:

The 40 tons will produce the following wines: Pinot Grigio, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, a Bordeaux style blend made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, a Rhone style blend made up from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre, and Petite Sirah, Zinfandel. About 2000 cases in total.

That is indeed me kneelling next to a Porsche 904 GTS, one of my all time favorite race cars.

There's a 904 that passes me every day on the way to work. I understand it's electric powered.

There are a few replica 904s out there and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that one was electric powered. There are a fair number that race on the vintage circuit including the very car that I saw raced at Laguna Seca in 1964.

Tama, It certainly took the wind out of his pipes, nae doot!

I've just had my gas put at a peep too, have found a leak of power steering fluid! - it seems to be coming from under the boot that covers the base of the splined male joint that goes into the universal joint that then heads up to the steering column, seems weird to get a leak here, must look higher up.

Had to take this off to get exhaust manifolds out to get oil filter housing out.

Rap, no worries, I know it's a brand of clothing but not much else.

Rap man, humourous usage is the best usage and naebdy offended this end.

Chris, that sounds like a seriously good harvest, red and white, pure grape and blends, and plenty of it.

I've only seen a 904 once in the flesh, stationary unfortunately, in the museum at Le Mans, still looked quick standing still!

Cheers guys!

Chris,

It would be a great treat to sample the best of Longevity Wines on the East Coast...I would gladly pay for product and shipping (in a plain brown wrapper of course, given our draconian laws in PA).

Mysterae - A few months back Porsche News (an app I put on my Iphone) had a really nice video clip of Walter Rohrl zipping around a road course driving a Porsche 904 GTS. It was a YouTube clip so I'm guessing it would be easy to find. Originally the 904 used the last version of the famous Porsche 4-cam flat 4 that made around 200bhp. For the 904 GTS they used the 2.2L flat 6 that made about 220BHP. This was the pwer train that eventually found its way into the 906 Carrera.

Jay - Let me see if we ship to PA, if not, you'll just have to drive out to next years Paso get together and I'll send you home with some wine. From my end, I can't ship wine without identifying it as an alcoholic beverage which may be problematic. But let me look into it. We just bottled a very limited amount of a 2009 barrel fermented Cabernet Sauvignon that is just outstanding, the best we have done to date.

Oil? No soup for you. Jay wouldn't you have to be Italian to pull that scenario? Lol funny how some Ca. Wineries don't hesitate and others due. No disrespect to you Chris.

Hi Chris - I think we've seen the same footage, I'd had a look at that footage a little while back but couldn't remember where I had watched it, looked good, sounded amazing and Walter Rohrl at the wheel, if I remember correctly it was the 904 from the Porsche museum collection?

I had been worried when you said you crushed 40 tonnes that the harvest had in part gone to waste, glad that is not the case!

Cheers
