Heater removal complete at last!
#1

Well,

I have finally completed my heater removal on the engine side.

I used 16mm Samco hosing to close the circuit around the back of the engine.

Looks pretty neat.

Just need to blank off the apertures in the bulk head with the plates and she's finished.

Congrat's Graham,

You'll never miss it...I certainly don't in the weather we're having these days!

Actually, my car is quite hot with all the insulation missing.

Hi Graham!

"I used 16mm Samco hosing to close the circuit around the back of the engine"

Is this important? I have no heater and I don´t have a close circuit. And I have cooling problems <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Do you have cooling problems?

The circuit is not closed?

Is it blanked off at the engine?

I was told by Nigel my Porsche mechanic that it is better to close the circuit and allow the fluid to flow as it would have done

BUT

That is just his opinion.

I do not really know.

Try it.

I have that line capped at the waterpump and have had no cooling problems. I don't think that is your problem. I'd check the thermostat and waterpump.

Eric is right, it should not make any differance whether it is capped or free flowing
