Headlight Relay?

right headlite lites but inoperable up and down // left side ok / / checked fuses #2 has 12v // #16 has 12v when headlight is to be closed// #32 12v when headligth should be open // took cover off relay G17 18 and watched contacts // front half of relay - bottom contacts open and close cycling lites on and off // top half contacts do nothing // back half of relay - top contacts open and close when cycling lites but bottom half does nothing // with G17 18 removed , checked pins 1 and 2 for front half of relay, have no power but pin 2 in back half of relay has 12v constant and pin 1 has 12v when cycling the switch help! thanks - that's much better



ok -



first, check the power and ground of that motor - the connector is right next to it



second, see if you can operate it manually (there is a knob) - lube the mechanism with tri-flow while you are in there



then, since i assume you have checked all fuses, moving on to the relay, i would substitute a known working one in there - can you find a buddy locally to try his?

Was doing some regular maintenance for the car today, when suddenly started hearing random clicking from behind the dash. First I thought it was some animal inside dash, but then located the noise coming from fuse box.
It is this g17 g18 relay which keeps clicking randomly once in a while. Mine headlamps are ok, so is there any symptom for this clicking? Relay dying soon?
I searched this part from pelicanparts, but couldn't find the relay. would you have the relay nbr, and where to find it? I thought of replacing it anyways, since don't want to have any extra hassle in car's fusebox...

my light stays up as well. the local dealer says I need a new motor for the light $1200 part from germany. any other options out there??
