thanks - that's much better
ok -
first, check the power and ground of that motor - the connector is right next to it
second, see if you can operate it manually (there is a knob) - lube the mechanism with tri-flow while you are in there
then, since i assume you have checked all fuses, moving on to the relay, i would substitute a known working one in there - can you find a buddy locally to try his?
Was doing some regular maintenance for the car today, when suddenly started hearing random clicking from behind the dash. First I thought it was some animal inside dash, but then located the noise coming from fuse box.
It is this g17 g18 relay which keeps clicking randomly once in a while. Mine headlamps are ok, so is there any symptom for this clicking? Relay dying soon?
I searched this part from pelicanparts, but couldn't find the relay. would you have the relay nbr, and where to find it? I thought of replacing it anyways, since don't want to have any extra hassle in car's fusebox...
my light stays up as well. the local dealer says I need a new motor for the light $1200 part from germany. any other options out there??
I'm starting to part out my old 968 cab with 80k miles -- and just removed the headlights. Drop me a line if you need a used part.
