968 Cab Storage cubbies
#21

I do have the cubbies and was thinking of swapping them out for rear seats since I can't take my wife and 8 year old out for a ride at same time.

What I don't know is if I can easily put those seats into my cab. I don't know if the seat belt anchors are in my car. How do I clip the seats in? So many questions..

Those rear seats would be perfect for my car.

Another thing I have to consider or check into is how will those seat backs impact the operation of the retractable roof.

Has anyone here done a rear seat install in a 968 cab?

Do you still have the rear seats from your coupe? I may be interested in using them in my '93 Cab. with Linen Interior.

thanks<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

John. I dont have the seat cushions (bottoms). I sold them to another member here. I still have the back rests.

the seat backs don't interchange between cab and hardtop - the late seat bottoms just drop in - early single piece requires some modification - seat belt holes for the bolts are already there for the lap belts in all but the latest cars - there is no way to attach shoulder belts safely

The only difference is the seat bottom -- the seat backs are exactly the same as on my other two 968 cabs with storage cubbies. Hence, no effect on the roof. The belts themselves are just lap belts (like those found on earlier 944's -- without shoulder belt) and use the same bolts that the cubbies go into.
