I want to add the weltmeister harness bar to my car and use 6 point harness for PCA DE events. Can someone please tell me how to mount the harnesses (I know how to install the bar). Can the rear harnesses mount directly on to the harness bar or is that not acceptable. Also, I know the side/waist harnesses get mounted in the existing seat belt mounts, but where do the front harnesses get mounted? Do I have to drill into the floor or can I use the front bolts that hold the seat down. Thanks

PMASON, thanks! That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure if it could be mounted directly to harness bar. I will use harness bar as guide and mount to rear set belt points. I have racing seats already. Waist belts will be mounted to existing seat belt mounts for front seat. Have to figure out where to drill for the submarine belts.
After some research today, PCA does not allow sub belts to be mounted to seats in any way. Shoulder belts cannot be mounted harness bar

So I am trying to install the harness bar into the front shoulder points and am trying to keep the shoulder belts in there as well. I need a longer bolt to accommodate both the harness bar mount and the stock seat belt mount.
Anyone know what size bolt it is? I picked up a 12mm bolt, but it's too big, thinking 10mm, but want to confirm before I make the return trip.
BTW, if I keep the stock belts in there, I won't need to put a harness belt in the passenger seat since it still qualifies as equal restraint! And, if I can keep the stock belts, no risk of a ticket since I'll use the harness on the track and stock belts on the street. Hoping this will work.
